CIO Dilemma: Managing in Exciting and Tough Times

Limited space is available for this event. To ensure your place, please RSVP right away to RSVP@Bravotech.com before Monday, June 16th.

Abstract:
The role of the CIO is a tenuous and ever changing one, with challenges to maintain or decrease costs while enhancing the delivery of the technology function.  With turnover so rampant (average lifecycle of a CIO is 19 months), increased allocation of funds are increasingly required to address non-strategic priorities and a shift in the reporting levels of the CIO; the technology leader within industry must continuously harness the resources made available to him/her, while anticipating the needs – always assuring that the internal peer group perceive IT as a team player. During this time, Steve will present a summary of his learnings in managing the technology function in this environment, as well as lessons learned in how to survive and thrive. Based on recent data from major industry studies that he has been directly involved in, as well as 34 years of directly experience (11 as a CIO) Steve will uncover how CIOs can succeed in winning - and turn the tide.  This will be a pragmatic roundtable talk to address the market we all face and how a senior technology exec can enhance their firm’s performance.
