As the year winds down I find myself looking at charts, studying spreadsheets and searching for a crystal ball as I prepare my forecast for 2010. Many professionals categorize the temporary business as a leading indicator for employment, much like steel is for manufacturing. If pressed into placing my 30 years in the staffing business on the line, I would say that I am “cautiously optimistic” and expect gradual increases in hiring for next year.

Some close-to-home factual evidence adds weight to my optimism. The last several months have been trending up for BravoTECH, with a growing number of orders for contract and full-time IT professionals. Hopefully we can all head into the holiday season with a positive outlook, expecting next year to bring general business increases and job growth.
