Technology Invitational Golf Tournament Raised funds for Technology Future
On September 26, 2013 more than 100 golfers converged at the Tribute Golf Course on September 26, 2013 and participated in the Second Annual DFW Technology Invitational Golf Tournament, benefitting the Society of Information Management’s science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives. A day spent on the greens will help hundreds of students learn more about a career in the technology industry.
President of BravoTECH, Andrew Jackson presented SIM representatives with a $5,000 donation at the annual banquet to further support their commitment to providing tomorrow’s technology leaders with educational opportunities.
“The support and participation of our sponsors and donors continue to help make this event successful and enjoyable.” Jackson said. “It has become an annual event and we are humbled by the dedication and enthusiasm the IT community has towards this wonderful initiative.”
Open only to technology industry firms and their employees, this tournament provides an atmosphere for education, networking, and some friendly competition on the course. Next year’s tournament is scheduled to return to the Tribute Golf Course on September 25, 2014.
